Rheem water heater 如何？

自家water heater 坏了一个，在Sears买了一个，真是个黑店。当时收了350刀的安装费，technician来了后要我再追加400刀的安装费。把他赶走了，这个锅炉我还真不买了。

找到一个plumber收300刀的安装费，但要用他的锅炉，他说是Rheem 的，九年保修。不知道这家锅炉质量怎样？

Haha... I just had a rental house water heater blow out. My plumber offered me to replace it with Rheem Performance 50 gal. Medium 6 Year 4500/4500-Watt Elements Electric Water Heater ($338 - Homedepo price) for $500. I guess he could get the same unit for $250-280.

Not much difference.
If it is electric, 50GB will cost about $350. 9 yr is good enough. For apartment, I only buy 6yr guarantee.

Installation shall be less than $100. It is pretty straightforward. Taking no more than 2 hours.

My plumber went to the property to checked the water-heater. It turned out no need to replace the water-heater (the house is about 10 years old). Here is his comments: "it may have got a power surge or something of that nature from a storm. I disconnected those wires, cleaned everything, reconnected them and the heaters in working order. Charge $75". I am happy. I thought I need to spend $500 to replace the heaters because the tenant said it blown out.
